The most important thing when following strategies

There are no strategies that deliver consistent returns every year. In different types of markets, different types of strategies will perform differently.

The most important thing is that you stick to your strategy even when it's performing poorly. If you have chosen the right strategy, you will achieve good results over time, but you must expect there to be bumps in the road.

Also, be cautious with strategies that are not based on a very long history. The longer the history, the better. A strategy that has worked for 10 years may stop working over the next 10 years. Therefore, it is important to find strategies that have survived as many different types of markets as possible.
