1. Calculate the discount

Example:
A shirt costs 100 USD. Today there is a 25 % discount. What is the new price and how much do you save?
Answer: 100 * 0,25 = 25 USD discount
100 – 25 = 75 is the new price.

2. Calculate the discount in percentage (%)

Example:
A shirt costs 200 USD. If you get a discount of 100 USD. What is the discount in percentage?
Answer: 100 / 200 = 0,5
0,5 = 50 %

3. Calculate the discount when you know the standard price and the new price

Example:
A shirt costs 300 USD. Today its a discount and the shirt only costs 150 USD.
How big is the discount?
Answer: (300-150)/300 = 0,5
0,5 = 50 %
